Refund & Cancellation Policy
Cancelling your subscription
- You may cancel your SkuBase subscription at any time — there are no minimum terms or cancellation fees.
- Cancel from your Paddle receipt email (Paddle, our Merchant of Record, handles payments), or by emailing [email protected] with your account email.
- Your subscription stays active until the end of the paid month; you keep full access until then. We don't pro-rate or refund the remainder of a paid month when you cancel mid-cycle (see Refunds below).
- Cancelling stops future billing. Your API access is suspended at the end of the paid month unless you resubscribe.
Cancelling during the free trial
Every new subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but only charged when the trial ends. Cancel during the trial at no cost — from your Paddle checkout confirmation or receipt, or by emailing us — and you won't be charged.
Refunds
- Refunds: as our Merchant of Record, Paddle issues all refunds and decides eligibility. By default, a purchase is non-refundable. Paddle may refund at its discretion — typically only for requests made within 14 days of the charge — or where a statutory right applies (for example, the 14-day EU/UK right of withdrawal for the initial subscription payment). - After the charge month: fees for a paid month are non-refundable; you keep access until the end of that period.
- Processing: if Paddle approves a refund, it goes to your original payment method (typically within 14 days of approval, subject to your bank).
- Failed or duplicate charges: if you were charged twice or charged after cancelling, contact us and we will correct it immediately.
Plan changes
Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; you're charged the difference for the rest of the month. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal. Changing plan is not a cancellation and doesn't trigger a refund.
Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under South Africa's Consumer Protection Act or other mandatory law that cannot be limited.
